Building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of sport
Welcome to the official partnership between Ballers Academy and Atletico Lugano, where football becomes more than just a game — it’s a journey of discovery, friendship and fun!
Football for Fun — Building Confidence, Character & Creativity
Our Philosophy: Football for Fun
At Ballers Academy, we believe every child is a Baller.
We fully embrace the idea of football for fun. This philosophy sits at the heart of everything we do – from training sessions to match days.
While everyone enjoys good results, we believe success is measured in smiles, confidence, and joy. Passion for the sport and respect for others are woven into every moment on and off the pitch.
It all starts at home:
- Respect your parents
- Respect your teammates
- Respect your coach

- Learn through FUN and challenge
- Develop resilience and teamwork
- Build a lifelong love for sport

Jason Calder‑McLaren
English FA Licensed Coach | UEFA B Licensed | PFSA Certified
Jason’s love of football began at a young age and helped him overcome shyness, build confidence, and develop strong communication skills. Football taught him respect for teammates and coaches and shaped his passion for coaching.
His biggest influences include his uncles and former coaches, who inspired his nurturing, supportive coaching style.

Erick Moccetti
Lifelong Footballer | Coach since 2018
For Erick, the most beautiful part of football is the bonds it creates. Friendships formed through the game can last a lifetime, and this sense of connection is central to his coaching philosophy.
Ballers Academy reflects his belief in new experiences, achievable goals, and learning through enjoyment.
Why We Set Up Ballers Academy Sport gave us confidence, friendships, and happiness. We created Ballers Academy to pass that gift on to the next generation in a way that puts fun at the centre of development.
